Waratahs cop ‘battering’ in opposed training session with Rabbitohs

Who would win a game of touch football between an NRL side and a Super Rugby team?

That dream match-up became a reality on Wednesday morning as the NSW Waratahs lined up against the South Sydney Rabbitohs at a joint training session at Redfern Oval.

While both teams were without some of their biggest stars due to State of Origin and Wallabies duties, that did not stop Daryl Gibson’s Waratahs and Anthony Seibold’s Rabbitohs from battling it out in modified games of touch football.

Two games were set up on opposing ends of a wet field as players from both codes gave each other a run for their money.

The Waratahs had a few bigger bodies on the field than the Rabbitohs, who were being led around the park by playmakers Adam Rey…
